SAN DIEGO – San Diego State men’s tennis is back in action this week, sending two Aztecs to the ITA Conference Masters Championships and three to the USTA SoCal Intercollegiate Championships, beginning Thursday.
William Kleege and Alexi Lofman will compete in the ITA Masters doubles main draw in Rome, Ga. where they will look to earn one of two qualifying spots at this year’s NCAA Doubles Championship. The Aztecs' second place finish at the Pac-12 Fall Qualifier was enough to punch their ticket to Georgia after the Pac-12 was given two ITA Masters bids through a lottery system.
Simultaneously, Brock Anderson, Blake Anderson and Maxime Baur will head up the road to the University of San Diego for the USTA SoCal Championships.
Kleege and Lofman will face South Carolina State’s Andrii Borodatiuk and Iliyas Maratuly in the round of 32 at noon PT.
USTA matches are set to begin at 8 a.m. at USD’s Hogan Tennis Center.
