SAN DIEGO – Luka Skoric, a 6-9 forward from Zagreb, Croatia, has been officially certified by the NCAA to compete for the San Diego State men’s basketball team in the 2026-27 season.
Competing for KK Cibona, members of Croatia’s A-1 Liga, he was successful on 47.6 percent of his shots from the field, including 31.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc, and 78.0 percent shooting from the line. He added 284 rebounds (2.7/game), 100 assists (1.0/game), and 54 steals (0.5/game) in his two seasons with the team in 2024-25 and 2025-26.
In 2022-23 & 2023-24, he was a member of GKK Sibenk, also in Croatia’s A-1 Liga. In 65 games, he finished at 47.7 percent shooting from the floor, including 36.7 percent from the bonus distance, and 78.9 percent from the line. In addition, he added 277 rebounds (4.3/game), 96 assists (1.5/game), and 57 steals (0.9/game).
In international competitions from 2021 to 2023, he represented Croatia 12 times averaging 3.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists.
With Skoric’s certification, San Diego State’s three European players have all been cleared to compete for the Aztecs in 2026-27.
San Diego State opens its exhibition schedule on October 16, at Arizona and its regular season opener is November 3 vs. Cal State Fullerton at Viejas Arena.
