SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women’s soccer team (8-3-3, 2-1-2 Pac-12) returns home to play Fresno State (1-13-3, 0-5-1 Pac-12) at noon on Sunday. The match will be broadcast on the Pac-12 YouTube page.

San Diego State played at Washington State on Thursday afternoon, finishing in a 1-1 draw. Each team was shut out in the first half but scored on a second half penalty kick. Lexi Lee scored for the Cougars in the 56th minute after a handball in the box by the Aztecs. Victoria Miller responded in the 84th minute after Charlie Gerson was fouled in the box. Miller’s goal was her eighth of the season, the most on the SDSU roster.

The Bulldogs have struggled so far in Pac-12 play, losing five of six matches. However, their one result was a big one: a scoreless draw at then-No. 16 Utah State on October 17. Fresno State’s win in non-conference play came at home against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi by a 2-0 score on September 6. Against common opponents this season, SDSU is 2-1-2 with wins against Pepperdine and Colorado State, draws at Oregon State and Washington State and a defeat against Boise State. Fresno State is 0-5 against the same teams.

San Diego State is 16-5-3 against the Bulldogs all-time. When playing at home, SDSU is undefeated against Fresno State with a 10-0-1 mark. While last season’s 1-1 draw in Fresno snapped a three-match win streak in which SDSU outscored the Bulldogs 3-1, the Aztecs carry a four-match home win streak into this year’s contest.

SDSU will wrap up its home slate against Gonzaga on Friday, October 30, at 7 p.m. All Aztecs home matches on the SDSU Sports Deck are free to attend, and all Pac-12 matches are streamed for free on the Pac-12 YouTube channel.
