Aztecs Tied for Third After Two Rounds in Hawai'i

All five Aztecs improved their score from the first round and Kylie Warner and Amelia Garibaldi shot a one-under-par 71 and are in the top 10 entering the final round.

LIHUE, Hawai’i – The San Diego State women’s golf team moved up to a tie for third in the second round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Tuesday. All five Aztecs improved their score from the first round and Kylie Warner and Amelia Garibaldi shot a one-under-par 71 and are in the top 10 entering the final round.

Warner, who won SDSU’s last tournament (Golf Iconic Classic), had three birdies, all of which came on par fours. She is in sixth place entering the final day with a one-under-par 143.

Amelia Garibaldi had a bogey free second round and finished with 17 pars. She is an even par through two rounds and is in seventh place, while having the most pars in the field (17).

Fia Lindblom shot a one-over-par 73 Tuesday. She had three birdies, which offset two bogeys and one double-bogey. She enters the final day tied for 24th place.

Ema Narita is one stroke behind Lindblom after shooting a two-over-par 74 in the second round. She also had three birdies on the day.

Emma Delwes finished outside the scoring but improved her score by six strokes from the first round.

BYU is in the lead with a two-under-par 574 and their Maria Jose Barragan is the individual leader sitting seven-under-par.
