SAN DIEGO – San Diego State’s inaugural Pac-12 women’s basketball schedule was released on Friday.

In their first season competing in the Pac-12, the Aztecs continue their rivalry with Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, and Utah State, while adding Gonzaga, Oregon State, Texas State, and Washington State as new conference foes. SDSU will face each team twice (home and away), playing a true round robin slate.

The Aztecs begin Pac-12 play with a pair of home games against familiar foes. They open conference play against Utah State on Jan. 6. SDSU has won the last nine meetings against the Aggies.

On Jan. 10, the Aztecs host Boise State who they have won five straight against.

The following week SDSU will hit the road, first playing at Oregon State Jan. 13. It will be the Aztecs’ first game against the Beavers since 1998. OSU made the WBIT last season.

SDSU then heads to Colorado State Jan. 16 to take on the Rams. The Aztecs are 36-35 all-time against CSU and won both meetings last year.

The Aztecs will host Gonzaga Jan. 21 in the first meeting between the two programs since 1995. The Bulldogs have made the NCAA tournament in five of the last six years.

SDSU then will make their first ever trip to Texas State Jan. 24. The Aztecs played the Bobcats once, losing to them 68-65 in 1996 at a neutral site.

The Aztecs will have their first bye and then host Colorado State for a rematch Jan. 31.

SDSU then heads to the Inland Northwest for games at Washington State (Feb. 3) and Gonzaga (Feb. 6.). This is the Aztecs’ first game against the Cougars since 2011.

SDSU returns home to host Fresno State Feb. 10. The Aztecs have won eight straight over the Bulldogs.

The Aztecs make the return trip to Boise State Feb. 14 and then come home for two games against the Pac-12 holdovers Oregon State (Feb. 17) and Washington State (Feb. 21). It will be the Beavers first game at SDSU since 1997 and the Cougars first visit since 2010.

SDSU’s last two regular season road games will be at Utah State (Feb. 24) and at Fresno State (Feb. 27).

The Aztecs wrap up the regular season March 6 against Texas State.

The Pac-12 tournament is March 9-13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will take place concurrently with the men’s tournament.

Tip times and broadcast information for all games will be announced later.

The Aztecs have seven returners, including four starters, from last year’s team that won the Mountain West regular season championship and tied a school record with 27 wins.

SDSU has set a program record for attendance in each of the last three years and season tickets are currently on sale.
