RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The San Diego State men’s soccer team (3-7-6, 1-0-3) shutout California Baptist (10-3-1, 3-1-1) to earn a 0-0 draw Saturday night. The Aztecs have now earned draws against the top two teams in the Pac-12 and are the only undefeated team in the conference remaining.

The Aztecs were outshot 15-1 and had no corners to the Lancers’ six.

“This definitely won’t be a game you hang in the art gallery for its beauty,” Head coach Ryan Hopkins said after the match. “But to be the only undefeated team left in the conference with two games remaining is all that matters. We dug in deep, stayed organized and put together a professional performance on the road.”

SDSU goalkeeper Nic Diana earned his second straight shutout and third of the year while collecting three saves.

The Aztecs are in third place in the Pac-12 with two matches remaining. The top four teams make the Pac-12 tournament.

STAT OF THE GAME
The Aztecs had possession in just 30 percent of the match.

THE NOTE
SDSU used just two subs (Max Mair and Greyson Moreno).
