SAN DIEGO – A program record six San Diego State women’s basketball games will be broadcast on national television, the Pac-12 announced Thursday.
Coming off a 27-win season, the Aztecs will have two home games shown on The CW and four road contests will be shown on national networks (three on The CW and one on USA).
SDSU’s first TV game will be Sunday Jan. 10 when they host Boise State at 1 p.m. The Aztecs have beaten the Broncos by double digits in each of their last five meetings at home.
The Jan. 13 game at Oregon State will be shown on USA with a tip at 7 p.m. It will be the Aztecs’ first game against the Beavers, who made the WBIT last season, since 1998
A few days later on Jan. 16, SDSU’s game at Colorado State will be aired on The CW with a 6 p.m. start. The Rams won the Mountain West Tournament last year, but SDSU won both meetings with the Rams.
SDSU’s first ever trip to Texas State on Jan. 24 will air on The CW. The Aztecs have only played the Bobcats once, losing to them 68-65 in 1996 at a neutral site.
A week later on Jan. 31, the Aztecs will have their second home game that is on national television when their Colorado State game is shown on The CW.
SDSU’s last TV game is Feb. 6 when the Aztecs play at Gonzaga. SDSU hasn’t played the Zags, who have made the NCAA tournament in five of the last six years, since 1995.
All SDSU’s games that are not airing on national television will be available to stream for free.
The Aztecs have seven returners, including four starters, from last year’s team that won the Mountain West regular season championship and tied a school record with 27 wins.
SDSU has set a program record for attendance in each of the last three years and season tickets are currently on sale.
