SAN DIEGO – Head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson announced the signing of Dionne Madjo, a 6’1” forward from Mersch, Luxembourg, who most recently played in France.
As the youngest player on her team by four years, Madjo averaged 2.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per game in the 2025-26 season for Flammes Carolo, who play in the La Boulangère Wonderligue (France’s first division).
“Dionne will bring a ton of experience to our group of post players after spending time with her national team and playing in the top league in France,” Head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson said. “She has great touch around the rim and knows how to utilize her size and strength inside.”
Prior to joining the Flammes Carolo, she played for the Schieren Black Frogs in Luxembourg, who Madjo helped lead to a championship by scoring 38 points in the 2024 Espoires Finals.
“I chose to come to San Diego State to improve my game, and grow as a player under Coach Stacie,” Madjo said.

Madjo is the third freshman 6’1 or taller, and sixth newcomer overall, set to join the Aztecs for the 2026-27 season. SDSU will have six players 6’ or taller for the first time in program history. The six newcomers will join seven returners, including four starters, that will look to build off a historic season that saw SDSU win the Mountain West regular season championship and tie a school record with 27 wins.
The Aztecs have set a program record for attendance in each of the last three years and season tickets are currently on sale.
