The team’s fall slate will consist of four professional tournaments and five collegiate tournaments, including two to be held at the Aztec Tennis Center.
In their first appearance of the season, select Aztecs will make the trip to Cary, N.C. for the esteemed ITA All-American Championships, which will be the first of three opportunities to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships. Of the 264 competing singles players, 10 will earn a bid to the postseason while five doubles teams punch their ticket.
During the same week, San Diego State will be represented at the ITF W50 tournament in Berkeley, Calif., beginning on Sep. 21, followed by the USTA SoCal Intercollegiate Championships, hosted by the University of San Diego at the Hogan Tennis Center on Sep. 24.
Next up, qualifying Aztecs will take the world stage again with back-to-back tournaments including the ITF W100 in Templeton, Calif. (Sep. 28) and W35 in Redding, Calif. (Oct. 12).
The team will then host its first of two tournaments to be held at the Aztec Tennis Center. The ITA Southwest Regional Championships, which gets underway on Oct. 15, offers the Aztecs their second qualifying pathway to the NCAA Individual Championships.
The final professional tournament on the schedule is a W35 played in Bakersfield, Calif. from Oct. 19-25.
San Diego State will get a first look into its new conference at the Pac-12 Fall Qualifier in Spokane, Wash. on Oct. 23, which will be the final opportunity to secure a spot in the postseason.
The Aztecs will then wrap up fall ball with the annual Aztec Fall Invitational from Nov. 6-8 at the Aztec Tennis Center.
Coming off a historic 21-4 season, the Scarlet and Black will look to compete for their third consecutive regular season conference title and first as a new member of the Pac-12.
