SAN DIEGO – San Diego State lacrosse has garnered Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Squad distinction for the third consecutive year, the IWLCA announced out of Northborough, Mass. on Wednesday. Five Aztecs were also recognized on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
San Diego State was among 357 schools across NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA named as honor squads this season. To receive this honor, a program must achieve a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the 2025-26 academic year.
Sloane Benshoof, Jordan Dobin, Molly 包蒙 云冬, Megan McDevitt and Liv Tramontana were also given an Academic Honor Roll nod for their work in the classroom, joining 1,207 students across the nation. To be eligible, a student-athlete must post a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater and be classified as a junior, senior or graduate student.
This is the second IWLCA award for Benshoof and 包蒙 云冬, who achieved honor roll status last year. It is the first of Dobin, McDevitt and Tramontana’s careers. All five Aztecs also garnered Big 12 All-Academic honors this season.
This is the seventh Honor Squad classification for San Diego State lacrosse since the program’s conception in 2012.
