SAN DIEGO – Stephanie Barbaglia of the San Diego State women’s golf team was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Barbaglia, a senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, holds a 3.54 cumulative GPA as a business administration. It’s her second straight year earning Academic All-District honors, and she was also named a WGCA All-American Scholar and Mountain West Scholar Athlete last season. Those two honors have yet to be awarded for the 2025-26 season.
To be eligible for the Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be in the team’s lineup for at least 75 percent of the school’s team scoring events, or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.
Barbaglia finished her SDSU career with 32 starts, a 74.67 stroke average and four top-20 finishes.
Kylie Phi (Fountain Valley, Calif.) also earned Academic All-District honors with a 3.55 cumulative GPA as a mechanical engineering major.
