SAN DIEGOJenna Fee Feyerabend is preparing to make her third career appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Feyerabend will be competing in the heptathlon starting with the 100-meter hurdles at 11:45 a.m. PST this Friday.  In 2023, her sophomore season, she took eleventh and earned Second Team All-America honors. During the 2024 season she finished ninth in the nation earning her second consecutive Second Team All-America award.

Feyerabend enters the NCAA Championships with the seventh best heptathlon score in the nation. At the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, she scored 5,905 total points including first place in the javelin and shot put. She also claimed second place in the 800-meter run, high jump and 100-meter hurdles. Feyerabend’s score set both a new meet and all-time Mountain West record while outscoring the second-place finisher by over 490 points.

Earlier this season, the senior from Groß-Gerau, Germany, scored 5,828 points at the Aztec Invite with first place finishes in the long jump, high jump, 200-meter dash, shot put and most notably, a career best 44.40m throw in the javelin toss. At the time, her score ranked first among all NCAA athletes and would stand as the fifth most points scored in Mountain West history.

Feyerabend will look to secure her third heptathlon all-American nod and cap off arguably the greatest outdoor season for an Aztec heptathlon athlete. So far this season she secured the all-time Mountain West record, Mountain West Championship meet record, her third conference gold medal, was named the conference championship Field Performer of the Meet and was selected to the outdoor Mountain West All-Conference team for the fifth time (four in the heptathlon, one in the high jump).

The heptathlon will begin on Friday with the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash making up the first day of competition. Saturday will see the heptathlon conclude with the long jump, javelin and 800-meter run. The entirety of the combined events, including the men’s decathlon, will be streamed on ESPN+. The remainder of the events will be broadcast on ESPN 2 as well as streamed on ESPN+.
