FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. –Anna Mager and Jada Pierre finished their 2026 outdoor seasons competing in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championship. The duo represented SDSU in the 400-meter and 100-meter hurdles respectively.
Jada Pierre started the day in the first heat of the 100-meter hurdles. Pierre faced off against a strong field featuring athletes from Oregon, Texas Tech, Arizona and SMU. Pierre would run a final time of 13.19, finishing in sixth place. Unfortunately, it would not be enough to secure a spot in the semifinal round. Pierre finishes her 2026 season as a Mountain West gold medalist, all-conference member and ran the fifth fastest time in the 100-meter dash earlier this year.
In the 400-meter hurdles Anna Mager was coming off arguably the best stretch of racing in her college career. Over the past few weeks, she earned a Mountain West silver medal in the 400 hurdles and was named to the all-conference team. Mager raced in the third heat against a field of competitors from Texas, Nebraska, Arkansas and more. Mager finished the day running 59.95 and was unable to advance to the semifinal round. Mager finishes her season as the new owner of the third fastest 400-meter hurdle runner in SDSU history having run 57.04 in the opening round on Thursday.
The Aztec’s season is still set to continue as senior standout Jenna Fee Feyerabend continues to prepare for the championship meet held in Eugene, Oregon. Feyerabend finished the regular season as the seventh best heptathlon athlete in the nation while rewriting the Mountain West record book. Feyerabend’s performance at the conference championship set both a meet and conference record in the heptathlon after scoring 5,905 points. Feyerabend is set to compete on June 12 with the 100-meter hurdles beginning at 11:45 a.m. PST. The championship will be set to stream on ESPN+ and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
