CLOVIS, CALIF. – San Diego State women’s track and field will travel north to Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, California to partake in SDSU’s final Mountain West Outdoor Championships. The Aztecs claimed fifth place at the 2026 Mountain West Indoor Championships earlier this year while also taking fourth place as a team at the 2024 conference outdoor championship.
The meet will begin with Jenna Fee Feyerabend’s quest to secure her third Mountain West heptathlon gold medal in her collegiate career. She will first see action in the 100-meter hurdles starting at 9:50 a.m. PST on Thursday. Feyerabend currently ranks first in the Mountain West and is the sixth ranked heptathlon athlete in all of NCAA Division I.
The 100-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles preliminary rounds will also kick off this Thursday. Jada Pierre will lead the Aztec’s sprint team as she enters the meet with the fourth fastest seed time. Pierre ran 11.48 earlier this season while Aji Mbye, the eighth seeded sprinter, owns an 11.59 season best. In the 400-meter hurdles, Anna Mager owns the third fastest seed time, having run 58.60 in her final race of the regular season at the Texas Invitational.
On Friday, the pole vault team will take the field. Isabella Nilsen, who won a silver medal at the indoor championships, has the third best mark in the Mountain West with a personal best of 4.25m. Peyton Bedrosian will look to return to the podium after having earned a bronze medal as a freshman during last year’s outdoor championship meet.
On the track, the 200-meter group will also be poised to earn a spot on the podium. Aji Mbye is coming off a bronze medal performance in the 200 at the indoor championships. She currently is seeded second after having run a time of 23.34 at the Aztec Invite in early April. She will be joined by Olivia Hicks, Kelia Bentham, Shari Hurdman and Laraigh Allen. The 100-meter hurdles will also feature Jada Pierre as the top seeded athlete. Pierre is the reigning Mountain West champion, having won gold last year with a time of 13.12.
The distance team will also compete across multiple events on Friday including the 1,500-meter run and steeplechase. The 400-meter dash will wrap up the action on Friday as freshman Shari Hurdman is the top seeded Aztec in the event. Earlier this season she posted the seventh fastest outdoor time in program history after her 53.03 performance at the Triton Invitational.
Saturday will serve as the final day of competition with San Diego State focusing on both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays as well as the triple jump finals where Alyssa Alumbres is currently seeded sixth. All three days of action will be streamed on the Mountain West Network.
