SAN DIEGO – Ema Narita of the San Diego State women’s golf team was named to the All-Mountain West First Team, the conference office announced Friday morning.
Narita, a junior from Tokyo, finished the year with a 72.79 stroke average, the fourth best in program history. She led the Aztecs in every statistical category: stroke average (72.79), win-loss record (603-178-26), count percentage (95.6%), rounds in the 60s (6), rounds under par (11) and birdies (90).
She had three-top 10 finishes, placed in the top 20 six times and had an average finish of 16th place.
Narita’s best performance came at the Yale Invitational West where she shot a career-best six-under-par 210 and tied for second. That was the best 54-hole score by an Aztec since 2019.
She also tied a career-low 18-hole score when she shot a five-under-par 67 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational and became the 15th Aztec to ever shoot a 67 or lower. She tied for sixth (out of 112) at that tournament with a four-under-par 212.
This is Narita’s first all-conference selection and San Diego State’s first since 2022.
