DALLAS – The San Diego State women’s golf team finished the first two rounds of the competitive Huntington Bank Collegiate at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas Monday. After 36 holes, the Aztecs are led by Kylie Phi, who shot a two-over-par 146.

Phi’s day started with an even-par 72 in the first round. She bogeyed her first hole and then was three-under-par across the next nine holes. She then shot a two-over-par 74 in her second round. She is tied for 40th place entering the final round.

Manon Martin sits one stroke behind Phi with a three-over-par 147. She finished the day with 27 pars, including 15 in the first round, tied for the third most in the field. She shot a one-over-par 73 in the first round and then a two-over-par 74 in the second 18.

Ema Narita had an up-and-down day. She opened the day with an 80 but then rebounded to shoot a four-under-par 68 in the second round. Her second round was bogey-free and featured four birdies. Her 68 tied for the third best score in the second round.

Stephanie Barbaglia shot a three-over-par 75 in both rounds and is tied for 60th with a six-over-par 150.

Kylie Warner, who is making her first start of the spring finished with a 155, improving her second round score by three strokes.

The Aztecs are in 12th place with one round to play. They improved by eight strokes in the second round, shooting a three-over-par 291.

STAT OF THE DAY
SDSU finished the day with 115 pars, the third most in the field on the day.
