DAVIS, Calif. – San Diego State lacrosse came up short in an 18-8 decision at UC Davis on Saturday. The Aztecs fall to 2-10 overall and 0-2 in the Big 12. The Aggies improve to 7-5 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.

The San Diego State offense was led by Tatum Neach, who matched her career high with four goals on the day. The senior fueled the Aztecs’ scoring alongside freshman Lilah Turley, who also tied her career high three goals. Mia Maechtel added one goal as well.

Keira Doyle-Odenbach and Tate Stokesberry each grabbed four draw controls to lead the Aztecs in the circle.

Senior goalkeeper Caitlin Boughton started in the cage and played 44 minutes, recording three saves before sophomore Grace Moore subbed in for the final 16 minutes and grabbed one save.

UC Davis was led by Lauren Picardi and Jane Fox with four goals apiece. Audrey Carr, Rhea Cosand, Catie McCauley and Ava Horrocks each had two goals while Cami Johnson and Holly Smith both put one away.

Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Altshuler played all 60 minutes between the pipes, tabbing eight saves off 24 shots faced.

Next up, the Aztecs welcome No. 7 Florida to The Mesa on April 11.
