SAN DIEGO – San Diego State men’s basketball announced, in conjunction with Sports San Diego, that it will compete in the inaugural National University Bill Walton Classic on Saturday, November 7 at Pechanga Arena.

The event will feature a game between the Aztecs and an opponent which has yet to be announced and will be preceded by a matchup of the UC San Diego and University of San Diego women’s teams.

“Bill Walton was such a San Diego icon,” San Diego State head men’s basketball coach Brian Dutcher said, “and with Chris Walton having played for the Aztecs, this event is really a family affair for us. We could not be prouder to be invited to honor Bill by competing in the inaugural National University Bill Walton Classic.”

SDSU’s opponent and game times will be announced at a later date.
