SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women’s golf team is competing in the Mountain West Champions Tuesday-Thursday at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

The Aztecs are the third highest ranked team in the conference and have gone 12-5 against Mountain West schools this season.

SDSU will use the lineup of Ema Narita, Kylie Phi, Manon Martin, Stephanie Barbaglia and Kylie Warner.

Narita (Tokyo, Japan) has a 572-159-24 record on the year and has eight top 20 finishes. Her 72.61 stroke average would be the third best in program history.

Phi (Fountain Valley, Calif.) has a team-high four top 10 finishes and led the Aztecs at last year’s tournament, shooting a nine-over-par 225 to tie for 14th.

Martin (Courbevoie, France) has three top 10 finishes this spring and is third on the team with a 75.24 stroke average

Barbaglia (Johannesburg, South Africa) is SDSU’s lone senior and is coming off a season best six-over-par 222 and the Huntington Bank Collegiate. She tied for fourth with a three-under-par 213 at the 2024 championships, which is tied for the third best conference championship score in school history.

Warner (Palmdale, Calif.) made her first start of the spring at the Huntington Bank Collegiate. She shot a 79 and 76 in the first two rounds before being forced to withdraw from the final round.

The Mountain West Championships have been played at Mission Hills Country Club since 2013, and the Aztecs have won it twice (2015 and 2019).

Teams will play on the Dinah Shore Tournament Course, which held the ANA Inspiration on the LPGA Tour for 51 years.

The forecast calls for sunny skies and temperatures reaching the mid to high 80s. The Aztecs will tee off at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday and are paired with Nevada and Wyoming.
