Trio of Aztecs Race at the Final Day Bryan Clay Invitational

San Diego State Track and Field’s distance team saw three athletes race in the 1,500-meter run on the final day of the Bryan Clay Invitational.

AZUSA, CALIF.– The Aztec’s distance team finished up their weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational with three runners competing in the 1,500-meter run.

Sara Jones competed in the “Open A” division finishing her race with a time of 4:31.79. Meanwhile, the duo of Emily Russo and Rebekah Niednagel raced in the “Open B” division. Russo posted a final time of 4:45.59 while Niednagel finished her heat running 4:56.67.

Up Next

San Diego State will be busy this coming week with three meets on the schedule from May1-2. The Texas Invitational, OSU High Performance and Steve Scott Invitational will see the team split up across the nation as the team competes in their final meets before the programs final Mountain West Outdoor Championships later in May.
