WALNUT, CALIF.– San Diego State Track & Field spent the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays competing in the “Elite” division of multiple events including the long jump, triple jump and both hurdle races.

In the jumping pits the Aztec’s all-American, Xiamara Young, returned to form. She posted an outdoor season best of 12.96m in the triple jump to start the meet. Her performance in the long jump was arguably her best of the 2026 outdoor season as she posted a 6.22m jump. That mark is now a new outdoor personal best and moves Young into sixth all-time in the Aztec’s outdoor record book.

On the track a trio of San Diego State hurdlers led the way. In the 100-meter hurdles the all-conference duo of Charlize James and Jada Pierre finished with times of 13.44 and 13.59 respectively. It was a season best performance for James who finished ahead of athletes from Arkansas, Iowa State and UC Santa Barbara. Anna Mager represented SDSU in the 400-meter hurdles running 58.77.
