Jenna Fee Feyerabend Posts Dominant Heptathlon Performance at 47th Annual Aztec Invitational

San Diego State Track and Field honored 11 seniors at their final meet at the SDSU Sports Deck. The team also secured seven first place finishes, their most of the 2026 outdoor season so far.

SAN DIEGO– San Diego State Track and Field hosted the 47th annual Aztec Invitational as the team’s final home meet of the 2026 season. The meet doubled as the Aztec’s senior day ceremony where they honored 11 graduating seniors. In total the graduating class accounted for 22 Mountain West All-Conference awards, seven all-American spots and 19 top 10 marks in the programs record books.

On the track the Aztecs dominated the sprinting events. In the 100-meter dash seven Aztecs placed in the top eight. Aji Mbye, Kelia Bentham, Olivia Hicks and Jada Pierre swept the top four spots including a new personal best from Bentham. In the 400-meter hurdles Anna Mager and Lidia Major claimed first and second place respectively. Rounding out the day was a strong showing in the 200-meter dash with seven more Aztecs finishing in the top eight. Aji Mbye led the way with a second-place finish while Olivia Hicks, Kelia Bentham, Taylor Anyansi and Anna Mager all posted new personal best.

The pole vault team continued their winning ways with Sydney Ash earning her first victory of the season with a 3.88m vault. Jordan Leveque and Isabella Nilsen rounded out the top three finishers.

Freshman Alexandria Rogers had the most successful day of her young college career earning both a new personal best and her first victory ever in the long jump. She led the field with a 5.44m jump. Giselle Galles was not far behind, earning second place with a 5.41m jump, her best mark of the 2026 outdoor season.

Lastly, senior Jenna Fee Feyerabend was dominant in the heptathlon. She scored 5,828 points, the most she has scored since the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships and now has moved into the number one ranking in the event in the NCAA. She took first place in the javelin, long jump,200m dash, shot put and high jump and second place in the 100-meter hurdles and 800-meter run. Feyerabend is a two-time all-American in the heptathlon and has firmly placed herself in the mix to earn her third all-American nomination in 2026.

Up Next

San Diego State will be busy next weekend with two meets on the schedule. Some team members will head to Walnut, California to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays from April 15-18. Other athletes will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific. The meet will run from April 16-18.
