SAN DIEGO – San Diego State men’s tennis is headed to San Luis Obispo for back-to-back matches against Cal Poly and Pacific on Friday and Saturday. The Aztecs will first face the Mustangs at 5 p.m. on Friday before taking on the Tigers at noon on Saturday.

San Diego State is 4-8 on the season following a doubleheader sweep over UC Davis and UC Riverside last Thursday. The Aztecs took down the Aggies 4-1 before shutting out the Highlanders 4-0.
The 67th-ranked Mustangs enter the matchup with a 7-3 record, most recently earning a 4-1 win against Army on the road. They also hold wins over Saint Mary’s, New Mexico, Nevada, Loyola Marymount, Weber State and Dartmouth.
This will be the 17th meeting between San Diego State and Cal Poly. The Aztecs are 11-5 in the all-time series after taking last year’s matchup by a score of 4-1.
The Tigers are 5-6 so far in the 2026 campaign. Last time out, they fell 4-1 against Hawaii. Their last win was against Ball State, who they downed 4-3.
The Tigers and Aztecs have met 15 times, but this will be their first contest since 2015 when the Aztecs earned a 6-1 victory. San Diego State has a 12-3 advantage in the series
Following this weekend’s competition, the Aztecs will next face Harvard in a neutral site match at San Diego’s Hogan Tennis Center on March 17.
