Xiamara Young Earns Multiple All-American Honors at NCAA Indoor Nationals

Young earned second team All-American honors in both the long jump and triple jump, finishing twelfth and eleventh in the nation respectively.

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK.Xiamara Young finished her 2026 indoor season garnering even more accolades for her exploits in the jumping pits. She added a pair of second team All-American honors in both he long and triple jump to her already impressive 2026 resume. In the long jump she finished twelfth in the nation with a 6.06m mark. In Saturday’s triple jump she posted a 13.07m performance, good for eleventh best in the championship round.

Young wrapped up a dominant indoor season with one of the best jumping seasons in SDSU history. She moved into second place for the long jump and third place all-time in the triple jump, rewriting the programs indoor record book. She was twice named the Mountain West Field Athlete of the Week as well as winning a pair of gold medals at the conference championship meet in Reno, Nevada. She was honored as the Mountain West Field Performer of the Meet at the conference championship and has been nominated for the conference’s Field Athlete of the Year.

Young now turns her attention to the 2026 outdoor season where she will look to continue her climb up the record books on her way to another potential NCAA National Championship berth.
