LA QUINTA, Calif. – The San Diego State women’s golf team finished in fifth place in the Yale Invitational West. Ema Narita was one of three Aztecs to finish in the top 11, tying for second with a six-under-par 210.
Narita’s t-second place finish is the best of her career. She finished the tournament with a three-under-par 69, recording four birdies to offset one bogey. Narita had just three bogeys
Freshman Manon Martin placed 10th with a one-under-par 215. After shooting a bogey-free 67 opening round, she followed that up with an even-par 72 and a four-over-par 76 on Tuesday.
Kylie Phi tied for 11th with an even-par 216 through 36 holes. All three of her rounds were between a 71 and 73, which included an even par 72 on Tuesday.
Emma Delwes, who was playing as an individual, had her best round of the tournament Tuesday with three-over-par 75. Delwes tied for the third best score on par threes, averaging 2.92 strokes.
Stephanie Barbaglia finished fourth among Aztecs with a 242, while Emilia Omander finished with a 244.
No. 10 Pepperdine is in the lead with an eight-under-par 568 and Kansas State’s Lyla Louderbaugh is the individual leader with an eight-under-par 136.
