SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The San Diego State women’s golf team took fourth place at the Causeway Invitational in Sacramento. The Aztecs shot a 13-over-par 876 and were led by Manon Martin, who shot a career-low one-over-par 217 and finished in tenth place.

San Diego State’s 876 was their second best 54-hole score of the season (871 at the Golf Iconic Classic). In the final round Tuesday, all four Aztec scorers shot a 73 or 74.

Martin tied for 10th place, earning her first top ten finish of her collegiate career. After shooting a 69 and 75 in the first two rounds Monday, she tied for SDSU’s best score Tuesday with a one-over-par 73. This is the second straight tournament the freshman Martin has posted a new personal best score. She shot an eight-over-par 224 at the San Diego State Classic earlier this month.

Ema Narita tied for 13th with a four-over-par 220, her fifth top 20 finish of the season. She also shot a one-over-par 73 in the final round with 15 pars, a birdie and two bogeys.

Stephanie Barbaglia, Emilia Omander and Kylie Phi all tied for 28th place with an eight-over-par 224. Barbaglia joined Martin and Narita with a one-over-par 73 in the final round, her best round of the tournament.

Emilia Omander shot a two-over-par 74, tying her best round of the season. She finished the tournament with 42 pars, the fourth most in the field.

Phi entered the day tied for sixth place but finished outside the scoring Tuesday with an 81.

Emma Delwes, who was playing as an individual, finished with a 244 and shot an 81 Tuesday.

Colorado won the tournament with an even par 864, while San Francisco’s Eva Pett took home individual honors with a seven-under-par 209.
