SAN DIEGO – San Diego State women’s tennis’ 2026 recruiting class has been ranked 24th in the nation by tennisrecruiting.net after head coach Nicolas Vinel signed Azuna Ichioka and Constanza Fernandez Rincon to next year’s roster.
Ichioka, a native of Japan, currently has an ITF Junior ranking of 171, and has ranked as high as 165. She’s won four singles and two doubles titles on the junior circuit.
Rincon, who comes to The Mesa from Mexico, has three singles and six doubles titles under her belt and currently ranks 371, with 335 being her highest career rank.
The two incoming freshmen will look to make an immediate impact for the team, which currently has three seniors on the roster. Led by coach Vinel in what will be his second year at the helm of the program, Ichioka, Rincon and the Aztecs will navigate their first year as a part of the Pac 12.
