SAN DIEGO – San Diego State lacrosse’s Keira Doyle-Odenbach has garnered her second career Big 12 weekly accolade, earning Midfielder of the Week honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.
The sophomore out of Orland Park, Ill. helped lead the Aztec offense with five goals through games against FDU and Oregon. She also added a combined four draw controls, two assists, two ground balls and one caused turnover. Her three points vs. FDU helped carry her team to a dominant 15-5 win.
Doyle-Odenbach is the second leading scorer for the Aztecs so far in the 2026 campaign, recording seven goals and three assists for 10 total points through the first three games. She also leads the team in draw controls with eight. She ranks sixth in the Big 12 in draw controls per game (2.67) and seventh in goals (2.33) and points per game (3.33).
After a stellar freshman season, the second-year midfielder was named to the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team as well as the Preseason All-Big 12 Team. She led San Diego State in draw controls with 54 on the year, tying for the ninth-most by an Aztec in a single season. She also picked up 32 ground balls, which was the second-most during the 2025 campaign. She earned her first weekly accolade after garnering conference Freshman of the Week honors on one occasion last year.
Doyle-Odenbach looks to lead the Scarlet and Black through the program’s second year in the Big 12. Conference play officially gets underway on March 28 when the Aztecs take on Colorado on the road. Next up, the team will play at East Carolina on Feb. 28.
