SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women’s basketball team (8-3, 2-0) cruised to an 83-54 win over Boise State (9-4, 0-2) inside Viejas Arena Saturday afternoon. The Aztecs shot 54% from the floor and made 11 three-pointers while holding the Broncos to 34% shooting.
“Boise State is a good team with a veteran coach and players, so I was really proud of our young ladies for locking into the scouting report,” Head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson said after the game.
Three Aztecs scored in double-digits with Naomi Panganiban’s 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting leading the way. Kennedy Lee added 16 points while going 6-for-9 from the field and freshman Kendall Mosley had 11 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting.
SDSU hit the ground running, making their first five shots before going on an 11-0 run. They scored 27 points in the opening quarter behind five threes and Panganiban scored 10 of her 18 in the opening quarter.
The Aztecs would make 15 of their first 21 shots and blew the game open in the second quarter by finishing the half on a 15-0 run to take a 50-24 lead into the locker room at the halftime break.
The Broncos outscored SDSU 17-14 in the third quarter, but SDSU won the final frame 19-13.

This was head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson’s (13th season) largest margin of victory against Boise State.
