SAN DIEGO – San Diego State men’s soccer’s Cianole Nguepissi and Josh Lucas were selected to the Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday.
To earn the honor, a student-athlete must maintain at least a cumulative 3.50 GPA on a 4.0 scale during their time in college, be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically and either appear in at least 90% of matches or start 66% of matches or more.
Nguepissi (Birmingham, England) led the Aztecs in minutes, totaling 1,441 across 18 matches (16 starts) as a center back. He has a 3.50 cumulative GPA as a leadership studies major.
Lucas was second on the team in minutes with 1,345 in 17 matches. He had a goal and an assist and was second on the team in shots.
Both made the WAC All-Academic Team a year ago.
