SAN DIEGO – San Diego State women’s soccer’s Emma Fuller, Charlie Gerson, Karoline Lundstrom, Victoria Miller and Alexyz Nakamoto were selected to the Academic All-District team, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday.

To earn the honor, a student-athlete must maintain at least a cumulative 3.50 GPA on a 4.0 scale during their time in college, be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically and either appear in at least 90% of matches or start 66% of matches or more.

A junior biology major, Fuller started all 20 matches for San Diego State. The defender scored the match-tying goal at Grand Canyon and struck again in consecutive contests at San Jose State and against Boise State. The goal against the Spartans was the game-winner. Fuller finished the year with pivotal assists on Alexis Leath’s game-winning goal against New Mexico to clinch a spot in the Mountain West Tournament as well as Mia Lane’s go-ahead goal in the Mountain West Semifinal match at Boise State.

Another starter in all 20 matches, Gerson is a business administration major. She scored her first career goal in the 4-0 win over UC Riverside on September 14. Gerson assisted on Mia Hambro Svendsen’s goal to win in the Mountain West Quarterfinal against Colorado State.

After appearing in just two matches as a freshman last season, Lundstrom played 18 times, starting in three contests in 2025. The business administration major took ten shots with three on goal.

In her first season as an Aztec after transferring from Ohio State, Miller paced the team with five goals including the first three of the season. A leadership studies major, she started the first 17 matches for San Diego State. Miller led the Aztecs to their first win of 2025, scoring in the August 17 win over Cal State Bakersfield. When SDSU trailed 2-0 in the 44th minute at eventual WCC champion Pepperdine, Miller scored twice in 14 minutes of match time to tie the match, allowing Katie Senn’s goal to win the contest. She scored again in each of SDSU’s next two matches, a pair of 4-0 wins over UC Riverside and Nevada. For her goals against Pepperdine and UC Riverside, Miller was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week on September 15. In conference play, she had an assist on Fuller’s goal against Boise State on October 16.

Nakamoto is a junior biology major with a 4.0 GPA. She started every match for San Diego State and had an assist against Nevada on September 14 and another on Fuller’s game-winning goal against San Jose State.
