Jones’ 23 rushing touchdowns in that 1995 campaign are tied for the most in SDSU single-season history with Rashaad Penny, which he equaled in 2017. Jones was a second-team AP All-American in 1995 and a Doak Walker Award finalist for the top running back in the country, while also garnering first-team all-WAC honors.
