LAS VEGAS – San Diego State’s Jo-Yee Chan and Vessa Turley have punched their ticket to November’s ITA Conference Masters after clinching the Mountain West’s automatic bid in doubles on Sunday.
The senior and freshman duo tallied four wins over the weekend, ultimately taking down Wyoming’s Silver Bijlsma and Violetta Borodina 7-5, 7-5 in the final round.
The Aztecs will represent the Mountain West in doubles at the ITA Conference Masters, hosted at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego from Nov. 6-9. Through this competition, Chan and Turley will look to qualify for this year’s NCAA Doubles Championships.
Chan also appeared in Sunday’s singles final, but came up short 7-6 (10-8), 6-3 to Nevada’s Amahee Charrier.
Next up, San Diego State women’s tennis will host the ITA Southwest Regional from Oct. 16-21 at the Aztec Tennis Center.
