SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women’s soccer team (6-4-5, 2-2-3 MW) has a split week in its final full week of the regular season. The Aztecs will play at Colorado State (9-3-3, 3-2-2 MW) at 4 p.m. MT (3 p.m. PT) on Thursday before returning home to play Wyoming (7-4-5, 2-2-3 MW) at noon on Sunday. Both matches will appear on the Mountain West Network.

Last week, the Aztecs fell at home against Boise State and Utah State. Emma Fuller scored for SDSU against the Broncos on Thursday with assists from Victoria Miller and Katie Senn.

Colorado State won its first six matches of the season and earned a No. 25-ranking on September 9. The Rams are 3-2-2 in conference play but are 6-0-1 overall when playing at CSU Soccer Field this season. Last week, CSU lost at Fresno State before winning at San Jose State. The Rams are 4-2-1 this year against common opponents with the Aztecs, who are 1-2-4 against those teams.

San Diego State has a 9-1-2 record against Colorado State all-time with every meeting coming since 2013. SDSU is undefeated (4-0-1) when playing in Fort Collins and picked up a 1-0 win in San Diego last season.

Wyoming won five of its nine non-conference matches. Last week, the Cowgirls beat Colorado College and tied at Grand Canyon, giving the Lopes their first draw of the year. Against common opponents with SDSU, Wyoming is 2-1-3 while the Aztecs are 2-2-2 when facing those same teams. Before Sunday’s match, the Cowgirls play at New Mexico at 7 p.m. PT on Thursday night.

The Aztecs are 19-7-3 all-time against Wyoming. SDSU is a perfect 14-0-0 when playing the Cowgirls at home and is 14-5-2 against Wyoming since Mike Friesen took over ahead of the 2007 season. Last year, the teams tied 3-3 in Laramie after Trinity Coker and Denise Castro each scored in the final 12 minutes of the match to erase a 3-1 deficit.

Following this week’s action, San Diego State wraps up its regular season at home on the SDSU Sports Deck against New Mexico on Thursday, October 30, at 7 p.m. The team will honor Grace Goins, Taryn Grobbel and Boston Girman before the match. Admission is free.
