LIHUE, Hawai’i – The San Diego State women’s golf team finished the second round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Monday. After two rounds, Ema Narita is tied for first place with a five-under-par 139. As a team, the Aztecs are in sixth place, moving up three spots from yesterday.
Narita followed up her career-low five-under-par 67 with an even par 72 Tuesday. She strung together 14 pars to go with a pair of birdies and bogeys. With 18 holes to go, she is tied with two Baylor golfers for first place.
Stephanie Barbaglia also had 14 pars on the day and finished with a one-over-par 73. She moved up 18 spots in the standings and is tied for 39th with a four-over-par 148.
Kylie Phi had a team-high three birdies on the day and recorded a three-over-par 75. She is one stroke behind Barbaglia (149, +5).
Kylie Warner also shot a three-over-par 75 and sits just one stroke behind Phi entering the final round.
Emma Delwes carded a 79 (+7) on Tuesday.
Santa Clara holds the lead with a five-under-par 571 through two rounds.
