SAN DIEGO – San Diego State men’s tennis is back on the road, heading to Tempe, Ariz. for the annual ITA Southwest Regional Championships, hosted by Arizona State on Oct. 16-21.
The seven competing Aztecs will go up against players from Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, USC, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Pepperdine, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Loyola Marymount and Cal Poly.
William Kleege and Denis Maijorov will kick things off for the Scarlet and Black in the singles qualifying round of 64 at noon PT on Thursday. Imran Daniel Hazli and Brock Anderson will take a bye into the round of 32, which will get underway at 1:30 p.m.
Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice, Lars Johann and Aleksi Lofman will make their first appearance following the conclusion of Thursday’s qualifiers.
