SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State has announced its gameday promotions for Friday’s Hispanic Heritage game against the visiting Rams from Colorado State University. The game is set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network. Friday's game is sponsored by ESET.

Friday night’s game will serve as a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month as SDSU athletics looks to honor the proud Hispanic culture that is synonymous with San Diego. Xavier “The X-Man” will be joining the Aztecs to celebrate 25 years on the air at the River Park Block Party. Free Hispanic Heritage hats will be distributed at all stadium gates upon entry while supplies last!

Friday night will also serve as an opportunity for the Aztecs to acknowledge Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the College Football Playoff Foundation “Extra Yard” in support of teachers and will be a night of recognition for the United States Air Force.

San Diego State football is also looking forward to Friday’s game to serve as a key component of SDSU’s Family Weekend! The 28th annual Family Weekend invites parents and family to get a glimpse into their student’s life at SDSU. It is one of SDSU’s most long-standing traditions and brings thousands of students, parents and alumni together.

The River Block Party, presented by Snapdragon, will open at 2:30 p.m. featuring a live DJ performing on stage. Other activations at the block party include a Kids Zone with a prize wheel, temporary tattoos, food and beverage options, and big screen TVs with other college football games playing. Low-riders will be on display for fans to interact with and take photos of during the River Block Party and free replica jerseys will be available to SDSU students, while supplies last, at 4:30 p.m.

The Warrior Walk will begin at 5:15 p.m., offering fans the perfect opportunity to cheer on the team as they exit the buses and walk into Snapdragon Stadium where they will gear up to take on the Rams! Fans can mingle with the San Diego State spirit squads, including cheerleaders, dance team and band, before watching the Aztecs get ready to do battle inside the stadium.

San Diego State students will also be invited to the Aztec Halftime Party hosted by DJ D-Rock in the North concourse to keep the energy high and good times rolling heading into the second half!

San Diego State football is excited to welcome back Jemond Hazely as this week's Honor Warrior. Jemond earned three letters for the Aztecs, including in two of the three seasons SDSU won a Mountain West Championship in 2012 and 2015. Hazely logged 34 catches for 436 yards and a touchdown for his career. His best effort came in the 2015 Mountain West Championship when he had game highs of five catches and 78 yards in San Diego State’s 27-24 win over Air Force. Recently, Hazely returned to The Mesa to mentor student-athletes in our Aztecs Going Pro program, guiding them on life after collegiate athletics, and also served as Emcee for our Aztecs Celebrating Excellence Awards ceremony.
