TULSA, Okla. – Aleksi Lofman and Lars Johann earned their second victory in doubles competition at the ITA All-American Championships on Sunday, advancing to Monday’s pre-qualifying quarterfinal round.
After a 6-7 (7-9), 6-3, [10-8] first round win over NC State’s William Manning and Charlie Camus on Saturday, the Aztecs faced Yair Sarouk and Kabeer Kapasi out of Rice in the round of 16. The duo downed the Owls 6-2, 7-5.
Next up, Lofman and Johann will go up against SMU’s Trevor Svajda and Georgi Georgiev at 12:30 p.m. PT on Monday.

The Aztecs’ stay in the singles draw came to an end on Sunday, with Lofman falling 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) to Pedro Cressoni of East Tennessee State, and Johann coming up short 6-4, 6-3 to Florida’s Kevin Edengren.
