Aztecs Finish Leadership & Golf Invitational

The San Diego State women’s golf team wrapped up the Leadership and Golf Invitational Tuesday. The Aztecs came in 12th place and were led by Ema Narita’s T-14th place finish.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The San Diego State women’s golf team wrapped up the Leadership and Golf Invitational Tuesday. The Aztecs came in 12th place and were led by Ema Narita’s T-14th place finish.

After firing two rounds at even par or better Monday, Narita shot a four-over-par 76 on Tuesday. She finished the tournament with a three-over-par 219.

Both Kylie Phi and Stephanie Barbaglia were two-over in their final round. Phi finished with a 227 (+11), which put her in a tie for 40th place.

Barbaglia’s 74 Tuesday was her best round of the tournament, and she finished tied for 50th with a 230 (+14). Her four birdies on the day led the team.

Manon Martin led the Aztecs on Tuesday with a one-over-par 73. She was two-under-par through 11 holes but then had three bogeys in her final seven holes.

Nikki Kato finished outside the scoring with a 245 (+29).

The Aztecs compete at The Molly Collegiate Invitational Sept. 29-30 in Corvallis, Ore.

THE NOTE
Ema Narita’s 4.04 average on par fours tied for the sixth best in the tournament, while Kylie Phi’s 2.90 average on par threes tied for the ninth best.
