SAN DIEGO – Head women’s golf coach Lauren Dobashi has announced San Diego State’s schedule for the 2025-26 season. The 11-tournament regular season slate is highlighted by tournaments at famed courses Chambers Bay and The Ocean Course at Hokuala.
The Aztecs will kick off their fall season September 15-16 at the Leadership and Golf Invitational, which is co-hosted by Seattle and Washington, and played at Chambers Bay Golf Course. This is the third straight year the Aztecs have begun their season at this tournament. Last year they placed fifth (out of 16 schools) and were led by Stephanie Barbaglia’s seventh place finish (215, -3). Chambers Bay is located on the shores of Puget Sound and is the only course in the Northwest to host a men’s U.S. Open.
SDSU’s next tournament will also be in the Pacific Northwest, playing in The Molly Collegiate Invitational at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore. September 29-30.
The Aztecs then play in New Mexico State’s Golf Iconic Classic October 13-15 at their on-campus course.
The final tournament of the fall season will be the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Oct. 20-22 at The Ocean Course at Hōkūala on Kauai.
The Aztecs will begin the spring season with a head-to-head competition against Long Beach State Feb. 2., although the location is still being finalized.
SDSU’s annual home tournament, the San Diego State Classic, will be Feb. 9-10. The Aztecs’ home course, The Farms Golf Club, is still undergoing renovations, so for the second year in a row the tournament will be played at The Heights Golf Club in Rancho Bernardo. SDSU has hosted a tournament every year since 2013.
Two weeks later the Aztecs will play in the Causeway Invitational (Feb. 23-24) at Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento. The tournament is co-hosted by UC Davis and Sacramento State and last year Maya Benita placed ninth out of 75 golfers.
March 9-10, SDSU plays in the Yale Invitational West at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif for the second consecutive year. Ema Narita led the Aztecs at this tournament last year, tying for 19th place with an even par 216.
Beginning March 20, the Aztecs will play at the MountainView Collegiate, which is hosted by Kansas State but played at The Preserve Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.
The following weekend (March 29-31), the Aztecs play at Santa Clara’s Silicon Valley Showcase at Green Hills Country Club.
SDSU will wrap up the Veritex Bank Collegiate at the Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.
For the 14th straight year, the Mountain West Championships (April 15-17) will take place at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage Calif.
