SAN DIEGO -- Five San Diego State student-athletes were recently named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country team. The five honorees include Jenna Fee Feyerabend, Lauren Harper, Anna Mager, Jada Pierre and Sophia Wolf.
The CSC Academic All-District team honors the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and, for track & field must have finished in the top-50 in their region of their respective event (indoor or outdoor) during the 2024-25 campaign. Each institution was allowed to nominate up to five athletes who have at least a 3.50 GPA and a high showing among the top 50 in the region.
Feyerabend earned second-team All-America accolades in the pentathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March, taking 10th with 4,202 points. It was a season-best mark and the second-best total of her career after winning the MW Championships with 4,183 points on Feb. 27. The Groß-Gerau, Germany, native graduated this past spring with a perfect 4.00 GPA, majoring in journalism and media studies. Feyerabend, who did not compete during the outdoor season to balance out her eligibility, will start her masters degree in communication this fall.
Harper, meanwhile, garnered all-Mountain West honors in the 800 meters after taking third at the MW Outdoor Championships in May with a time of 2:05.39. The Weaverville, California, native also ran at the NCAA West First Round, taking 30th in 2:07.73. Harper’s best time of 2:05.00 at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 17 was the second-fastest time in SDSU’s outdoor history. Harper, who graduated last year with a degree in zoology and owns a 3.83 cumulative GPA, received her public health certificate this year and got accepted into veterinary school for the fall.
Mager advanced to the 400 hurdles quarterfinals at the NCAA West Regional, ultimately coming in 23rd in 59.95. She twice ran 58.64 on the season, which is the 10th-fastest time in school history. The Wolfurt, Austria, native recently represented her native country at the European Team Championships, running a personal best in the 400 meters in 54.19. Mager is majoring in economics with a 3.87 cumulative GPA, and plans to add geography for a second major next year.
Pierre won the 100-meter hurdles in 13.12 at the MW Championships for the sixth-fastest time in school history and then came in third in the 100 in 11.43, tied for the seventh-fastest time at SDSU. She earned all-MW accolades in both events and competed in the two at the NCAA West First Round, coming in 30th in the 100 hurdles in 13.46 and 45th in the 100 in 11.68 (wind-aided). A native of Woodbridge, Virginia, Pierre owns a 3.60 cumulative GPA and is majoring in international security and conflict resolution. She is studying abroad in Italy this summer.
Wolf is the final Aztec to make Academic All-District, posting a 4.00 cumulative GPA in her undergrad work and a 4.00 in her master’s work, focusing on liberal arts and science. Wolf finished fourth in the 800 at the MW Outdoor Championships in 2:08.00 after taking second and earning all-MW accolades at the indoor meet in 2:09.22. A Bensheim, Germany, native, Wolf was 39th at the NCAA West First Round in 2:10.42. In her lone season at SDSU after transferring from New Orleans, Wolf set an indoor record in the 800 (2:07.09) and ran the seventh-fastest time of 2:06.67 in the outdoor 800.
