SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego State track and field team begins a busy week of competition on Wednesday at BYU’s Robison Invitational in Provo, Utah.
The Aztecs are sending four pole vaulters to the Clarence F. Robison Track, including Sydney Ash, Jordan Leveque, Lily Mulligan and Kayla Tassara. The pole vault starts at 12:30 p.m. MT (11:30 a.m. PT) Wednesday.
Leveque and Tassara enter the week only trailing Colorado State’s Maria Kimpson among the Mountain West leaders. Both Leveque and Tassara have a best of 13 feet, 0 ¼ inches (3.97m) this season, both set at the Triton Invitational on April 4.
Kimpson’s best mark is 14-01.25 (4.30m). Ash’s best vault this year is 12-00.75 (3.68m), while Mulligan is making her season debut in the event.
SDSU will also have competitors at UC Irvine’s Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine, California, on Friday and Saturday, and at Arizona’s Desert Heat Classic in Tucson, Arizona, on Saturday.
