SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State won four events on the final day of the 46th annual Aztec Invitational Saturday at Choc Sportsman Oval/Aztrack on SDSU Sports Deck.
Lauren Harper won the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 7.54 seconds (2:07.54), a day after running the fifth-fastest 1,500 in program history in 4:22.26.
Jada Pierre, meanwhile, captured the 100-meter hurdles in 14.09. Pierre also came in third in the open 100 in 11.63.
San Diego State won the 4x100-meter relay in 44.29, going Olivia Hicks, Shaquena Foote, Hannah Waller and Aji Mbye for its order.
Alyssa Alumbres was SDSU’s lone winner in a field event, taking the triple jump with a leap of 39 feet, 8 inches (12.09m). She was also sixth in the long jump at 17-05.50 (5.32m).
In addition to running a leg on the winning 4x100, Mbye finished second in both the 100 (11.52) and 200 (23.58).
The 4x400-meter relay team of Takiyah Blue, Laraigh Allen, Anna Mager and Emille Couch ended the meet in second with a time of 3:46.23.
Maya Gorman took second in the long jump and a mark of 19-01.25 (5.82m).
Other top-5 marks on the day came from Foote in the 200 (third, 23.58), Mia Reid in the 100 hurdles (14.37), Hicks in both the 100 (fourth, 11.76) and 200 (fifth, 24.07), Kayla Tassarra (fourth, 12-06.75) and Jordan Leveque (fifth, 12-06.75) in the pole vault, and Charlize James in the 100 hurdles (fifth, 14.74).
San Diego State will next host the Shelia Burrell Aztec Heptathlon/Decathlon on Thursday and Friday.
