SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State football head coach Sean Lewis announced one more addition, Lucan Amituanai (Elk Grove, Calif./Elk Grove High), on Wednesday’s start of the regular signing period. Between the early signing period, winter transfers, and this final signee, the Aztecs have 37 student-athletes signed to Grant-in-Aids for the upcoming 2025 season.
Between the early signing period in December and today’s start of the regular signing period, Lewis and the staff added 18 transfers, including Seth Adams (Dawsonville, Ga./SE Louisiana), Mason Baker (Modesto, Calif./America River College), Jacob Bostick (Palatine, Ill./Texas A&M), Josiah Cox (San Diego, Calif./New Mexico State), Jayden Denegal (Apple Valley, Calif./Michigan), Bert Emanuel Jr. (Houston, Texas/Central Michigan), Malachi Finau (Los Angeles/Hawai’i), Dallas Fincher (Grand Rapids, Mich./Michigan State), Jackson Ford (Melissa, Texas/Tulsa), Hunter Green (Redmond, Wash./Northern Colorado), Bayo Kannike (Los Angeles/Utah Tech), Niles King (Southfield, Mich./Grand Valley State), Myles Kitt-Denton (Pearland, Texas/Northwestern State), Cam May (Detroit, Mich./Howard), Dwayne McDougle (Oakland, Calif./Idaho), Christian Washington (San Diego/Coastal Carolina), Mister Williams (Canoga Park, Calif./Incarnate Word) and Tanner Williams (Orange, Calif./Utah State).
San Diego State’s full 2025 recruiting class features 21 on offense, 15 on defense and one specialist. The 37-player class also has 22 from the state of California, three each from Michigan and Texas, and one each from Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada and Washington. Of the 37 signees, 19 are joining the Aztecs out of high school, while 18 are college transfers, including three from Power 5 institutions and six from Group of 5 programs along with seven from the FCS level, one from NCAA Division II and one junior college products.

The NCAA approved the early signing period in 2017, which ran from Dec. 4-6. The mid-year 2-4 (junior college) transfer signing period went from Dec. 9-28, while the regular signing period is slated for Feb. 5-April 1, 2024.
