PALO ALTO, Calif. – San Diego State had just three distance runners in Northern California on Saturday. Alex Lomeli and Lauren Harper ran in the 800m at the Stanford Invitational while Tatum Zinkin raced in the 800m at the Mike Fanelli Classic.
Lomeli posted the fastest time of the three Aztecs, running a 2:08.10 at Stanford. She finished fourth in section two of the event.
In a field of 147 runners, Zinkin finished 22nd overall in her 800m at San Francisco State. Her time of 2:13.10 was fifth in section three of the Mike Fanelli Classic.
Lauren Harper was the third and final Aztec to compete, running a 2:16.32 in section three at Stanford.
San Diego State will stay local next weekend as they are set to compete at UC San Diego in La Jolla, Calif.
