SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State men’s basketball team moved up three spots in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll this week, slotting in at No. 20 in each. The Aztecs totaled 319 points in the AP Poll and 148 in the Coaches Poll, and remains the only Mountain West program to be ranked in either poll.
With its appearance in this week's AP Poll, San Diego State is ranked for the 114th week since the start of the 2010-11 season, more than any other program in the state of California in that time frame.
San Diego State is ranked No. 20 for the sixth time in school history. Except for No. 12, SDSU has appeared in every position in the poll between No. 4 and No. 25.
Today's poll ranking, released on December 23, marks the sixth time SDSU has appeared in the AP Top 25 on this date.

San Diego State puts its No. 20 ranking on the line on Saturday, December 28, when it returns to Mountain West action against Utah State at Steve Fisher Court at Viejas Arena. The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. PT and the game will be carried on FOX.
