SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State softball program unveiled its 2025 schedule on Friday, featuring 22 regular season games and the Mountain West Championship at SDSU Softball Stadium.
SDSU opens its season with a pair of home games on February 6. The Aztecs host CSUN at 1 p.m. and Oklahoma, winners of the last four Women’s College World Series titles, at 6 p.m. The next day, San Diego State will be in Fullerton, California, for a doubleheader against Southern University at 1 p.m. and the host Cal State Fullerton Titans at 3:30. SDSU will finish the weekend against Army in Riverside, California, on February 9 at 2:30 p.m.
The next weekend, SDSU heads to Clearwater, Florida, for the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational Presented by EvoShield. In Central Florida, the Aztecs will battle Alabama at noon ET and Wichita State at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, February 14. Following a doubleheader against Missouri (1:30 p.m. ET) and Virginia (4:30 p.m. ET) on Saturday, San Diego State finishes the weekend against Charlotte at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 16.
Next up for San Diego State is the Mary Nutter Classic in Cathedral City, California. The Aztecs open the weekend against Oregon at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 21, before a doubleheader on the evening of Saturday, February 22, against UC Santa Barbara and UC Riverside. SDSU ends its time in Cathedral City with another doubleheader on Sunday against Saint Mary’s at 11 a.m. and Hawai‘i at 1 p.m.
After a Tuesday night home game against California Baptist at 6 p.m. on February 25, SDSU heads to Fullerton for the Judi Garman Classic. Following a doubleheader against Weber State and Notre Dame on Friday, February 28, San Diego State will face Utah on Saturday evening. The tournament concludes with games on Sunday morning against Arizona and Cal State Fullerton.
In the final weekend before conference play, SDSU will compete at home, with a doubleheader against Loyola Marymount at 3:30 and 6 p.m. on March 7. On Saturday, March 8, the Aztecs will face Sacramento State at noon. The Hornets will battle UCLA following the first game and San Diego State will then take on the Bruins to wrap up the day.
The Aztecs open conference play at Utah State with games at 4 p.m. on March 14 and noon on March 15 and 16. SDSU will then come back to America’s Finest City to face the San Diego Toreros at 6 p.m. on March 19. That weekend, March 21-23, the Aztecs host New Mexico with games at 6 p.m. on Friday, 4 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday. Up next for San Diego State is a trip to Reno, Nevada, to take on the Wolf Pack from March 27-29. The games on Thursday and Friday are set for 3 p.m. while Saturday’s series finale is scheduled for noon.
San Diego State will play a doubleheader against Fresno State beginning at noon on April 2. That weekend, SDSU heads to Fort Collins, Colorado, to play the Colorado State Rams at 1 p.m. on April 5 and noon on April 6. The Aztecs play their final Friday-Sunday series of the year at home against UNLV from April 11-13 with starts at 6 p.m. on Friday, 4 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
SDSU will hit the road for the final time this season when it heads to Boise to play a three-game set against the Boise State Broncos from April 17-19. The first two games start at six with the series finale at noon. The Aztecs return home to play UC San Diego at 6 p.m. on April 23 and Arizona at 6 p.m. on April 25 before a noon first pitch the next day. San Diego State’s regular season comes to a close against San Jose State on May 1-3 with 6 p.m. start times on Thursday and Friday before a noon first pitch on Saturday.
After winning the Mountain West regular season title last year, San Diego State will host this season’s Mountain West tournament at SDSU Softball Stadium from May 8-10.
