SAN DIEGO – San Diego State moved to 2-0 on the season with a 100-49 defeat of Occidental College on Tuesday Night. The win marked their 12th straight over the Tigers, tied for the program's third longest active streak.
The game is the first 100-point game for the Aztecs since a 100-97 overtime victory on Nov. 19, 2023 over Washington. It is the first time they have hit the century mark in four quarters of regulation since Nov. 14, 2018, when they defeated Texas Southern 103-64 at the Maui Jim Maui Invitational.
Magoon Gwath, Wayne McKinney III and BJ Davis matched each other with a game-high 16 points. Davis added a career high five steals to his stat line while Gwath recorded a career high four blocks.

San Diego State came out of the break on fire again shooting 5-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from three extending their lead to 40 points. Their advantage reached as many as 61 points down the stretch cruising to the 100-49 victory.
