SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State men’s golf coach Ryan Donovan has announced the addition of Beau Sahr. The Eagle, Idaho, native joins a program that has won three consecutive Mountain West championships and is set to join the Pac-12 for the 2026-27 season.

Sahr, the top-rated golfer in the state of Idaho for the 2025 class, comes to The Mesa after starring at Eagle High School near Boise. Sahr won the Idaho State 5A golf championship last year as a junior and regularly plays on the junior circuit, claiming the 2023 AJGA Imperial Classic and the 2024 Dropping Championship. The Idaho Press 2023-24 Boys Golf Sports Stars Athlete of the Year, Sahr is set to join the Aztecs for the 2025-26 campaign.

SDSU recently finished its fall season with a runner-up finish out of 13 teams at The Preserve Golf Club, Oct. 28-29, in Carmel, California. That followed a fourth-place showing at the invitational Jackson T. Stephens Cup, Oct. 21-22, in Oklahoma City.

San Diego State, which is ranked 32nd in the country in the final Scoreboard rankings of the fall, begins its spring play at the Southwestern Invitational, Jan. 27-29, at Sherwood Country Club in Lake Sherwood, California.
