Men’s Hoops 2024-25 Broadcast Schedule Revealed

San Diego State will have at least 25 of the team’s 29 games broadcast on national television.

SAN DIEGO – San Diego State, in conjunction with the Mountain West, released its national broadcast schedule for the 2024-25 men's basketball season on Thursday. Highlighting the 20-game slate are two contests which are set to air on CBS and one on Fox.
 
For the season, SDSU will play on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) 13 times, on FS1 five times, on CBS twice and once on Fox. Of the available games, all but five have been selected to be broadcast on national television.

Along with the broadcast schedule, the league revealed game day shifts to accommodate its television partners. The Aztecs have two contests affected: a home game vs. Air Force (moved to Wednesday, January 8) and the rematch at USAF Academy, Colo. (moved to Wednesday, January 22).
 
Both games on CBS are on the road: at Boise State on Saturday, January 4 (2 p.m. MT) and at New Mexico on Saturday, January 11 (tip time TBA). The program's game on Fox is on Saturday, December 28 at Steve Fisher Court against Utah State with the tip time to be announced.
 
The Aztecs' first five appearances on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) begins against Gonzaga (Monday, December 18 at 7 p.m. PT) at Viejas Arena. The team's next appearance on the network starts a four-game run on CBSSN starting at home on Tuesday, January 14 at 8 p.m. PT versus Colorado State, then four days later, Saturday, January 18 versus UNLV (tip time TBA), also at Steve Fisher Court, then at Air Force on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 8 p.m. MT, and finally at Nevada on Saturday, January 25 at 7 p.m. PT.
 
CBSSN will then broadcast eight of the team’s final 10 regular-season games, including six straight starting on Saturday, February 1 in Viejas, versus Wyoming (tip time TBA). Following a mid-week bye, SDSU is at Colorado State on Saturday, February 8 (tip-time TBA), and three days after that, at 8 p.m. PT on Tuesday, February 11, the team will be at San Jose State.

The Scarlet and Black’s next two games are on home turf with Boise State and Fresno State visiting Steve Fisher Court on Saturday, February 15, against Boise State (tip time TBA), and Tuesday, February 18, versus Fresno State at 8 p.m. PT. The program’s final three games on CBS Sports Network are all on the road starting in Logan, Utah, on Saturday, February 22 (tip time TBA) against Utah State, then Saturday, March 1 in Laramie, Wyoming, against the Wyoming Cowboys with tip set for 6 p.m. MT and lastly, in the penultimate regular-season tilt, at UNLV in Las Vegas with tip scheduled for 8 p.m.
 
The games that will be carried on FS1 are the conference opener at Fresno State (Wednesday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. PT), and home games versus Air Force (Wednesday, January 8 at 7:30 p.m. PT), San Jose State (Tuesday, January 28 at 8 p.m. PT), New Mexico (Tuesday, February 25 at 8 p.m. PT), and the regular-season finale vs. Nevada (Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. PT).
 
In addition to the Mountain West's announcement, the Aztecs' games in the Power MTE in Las Vegas versus Creighton on Tuesday, November 26, will air on TBS at 11 a.m. PT, against Oregon (Wednesday, November 27) on MAX at 1 p.m. PT and versus Texas A&M (Saturday, November 30) on TNT at 4 p.m. PT.

 As of October 3, no announcement has been made, but is expected in the near future, regarding television broadcasts for the team's game against California at the San Jose Tip-Off (Saturday, December 21) in San Jose, Calif., as well as home games vs. UC San Diego (Wednesday, November 6), Occidental (Tuesday, November 12), San Diego (Saturday, December 7) and Cal Baptist (Wednesday, December 11).

For 2024-25, San Diego State returns rotational player senior Reese Waters, and sophomores Miles Byrd and Miles Heide. In 2023-24, San Diego State appeared in the championship game of the Mountain West tournament for the seventh consecutive year and competed in the NCAA tournament for the fourth straight season including its second straight Sweet 16 appearance.
 
In addition to the aforementioned players, SDSU brings back junior Demarshay Johnson Jr., sophomore BJ Davis and redshirt freshman Magoon Gwath, and has added transfers Nick Boyd, a senior from Florida Atlantic who played against San Diego State in the 2023 Final Four, as well as Jared Coleman-Jones, an All-Conference USA performer who ranked No. 2 in the league last season in rebounds and No. 6 in blocks, Wayne McKinney III, a three-year starter at San Diego and is 140 points from 1,000 for his career, and Kimo Ferrari, a San Diego native who dropped 39 points in his final home game at Brown last season, including a program record 10 three-pointers . San Diego State also welcomes a pair of four-star recruits Taj DeGourville and Pharaoh Compton and signed 7-foot Thokbor Majak from Bor, South Sudan.
